What our reviewers know about your documents
Serbian is written in both Cyrillic and Latin script; Cyrillic is the official script in Serbia, so most civil documents are Cyrillic, and Verdacert handles either. Civil status extracts are issued from the registry books (matične knjige) by municipal registrars, and multilingual international extracts are also available. The 13-digit JMBG personal number is transcribed exactly, and names are rendered in the Serbian Latin alphabet with their diacritics (č, ć, đ, š, ž) or in the holder's passport spelling. Dates use the day-month-year order, typically with a trailing period (02.10.2023.).
Common source countries: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo.
