Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service. It describes conduct and content that are prohibited on Verdacert and the consequences of violations. We may update this AUP at any time consistent with the Terms.
1. You must not
- Submit forged or altered documents. Do not upload documents that have been forged, altered, or fabricated, or that you do not have the right to submit. Do not omit pages or redact content to mislead us or any recipient.
- Engage in immigration or government fraud. Do not use the Services to defraud USCIS, the State Department, any court, any university, or any other recipient. Do not attempt to obtain immigration benefits, visas, admissions, or other government benefits through false statements.
- Violate sanctions or export controls. Do not use the Services from, or on behalf of any person ordinarily resident in, a U.S.-sanctioned country or jurisdiction, or while on a U.S. restricted-party list.
- Engage in identity theft or impersonation. Do not use another person’s information without authorization or impersonate any person or entity.
- Use the Services for unlawful purposes. Including money laundering, harassment, threats, child sexual-abuse material, distribution of malware, or violation of intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Interfere with the Services. No denial-of-service attacks, no probing or scanning for vulnerabilities (other than under a published bug-bounty or with prior written authorization), no scraping or automated access beyond rate limits, no reverse engineering or attempting to derive source code, and no circumventing our security or access controls.
- Misuse AI tooling. Do not attempt prompt injection, jailbreaking, or other manipulation of our models, draft generation, or review workflows.
- Resell certified translations as your own. Do not represent Verdacert deliverables as your own certified work or as the certified work of any other translator, agency, or notary without our prior written consent.
- Engage in fraudulent payment activity. Do not use stolen, unauthorized, or fraudulent payment methods, and do not initiate chargebacks except after a good-faith attempt to resolve the issue with us.
- Send spam or unlawful communications. Do not use email or contact features to send unsolicited bulk messages, phishing, or unlawful content.
2. Content we will refuse
We may refuse, suspend, or terminate any order that we reasonably believe involves prohibited content, including documents appearing to be forged, fraudulent, sanctioned counterparties, or content that may facilitate violence, terrorism, or other serious crime. Refused orders are not refundable to the extent the order was placed in violation of this AUP or the Terms.
3. Enforcement
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, refusal of refunds where permitted by the Terms and applicable law, cooperation with law enforcement, and pursuit of any other remedies available to us at law or in equity. We may preserve and disclose information about your account and activity where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4. Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse, fraud, security issues, or violations of this AUP, email abuse@verdacert.com. Please include enough detail for us to investigate.
5. No waiver
Our failure to enforce any part of this AUP is not a waiver of our right to do so later. Nothing in this AUP limits any other rights or remedies available to us under the Terms or applicable law.
