Verdacert provides certified translations for USCIS filings, court proceedings, university applications, and medical documentation, with native-speaker review on every document. We are looking for a Legal Georgian Translator to join our reviewer network, translating legal and civil documents between Georgian and English with the accuracy and attention to detail required for official submissions.

What you'll do

• Translate legal, civil, and personal documents (birth certificates, marriage records, court documents, academic transcripts, and similar) between Georgian and English
• Review machine-generated first drafts for accuracy, completeness, and faithful transliteration of names and terms
• Apply correct legal and regulatory terminology so translations meet certification standards required by USCIS and similar bodies
• Sign certification statements attesting to the accuracy and completeness of each translation
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the translated output
• Meet defined turnaround windows, including expedited and rush delivery timeframes

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Georgian and strong command of English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or official documents
• Familiarity with Georgian civil registry, court, and government document conventions
• Strong attention to detail, especially with names, dates, and numerical data
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
• Comfortable reviewing and correcting machine-translated drafts

Nice to have

• Experience with USCIS or other immigration-related certified translation work
• Familiarity with transliteration standards for Georgian names and terms
• Prior work as a certified or sworn translator
• Experience with legal or court translation and terminology
