Verdacert is a US-based certified translation service specializing in MENA-region and other language documents for immigration, court, university, and medical use, and Ukrainian is one of the languages listed among its supported offerings. We're looking for a Legal Ukrainian Translator to join our reviewer network, translating civil and legal documents from Ukrainian into English with the accuracy and certification rigor required by USCIS, US courts, and other institutional recipients.

What you'll do

• Translate Ukrainian-language legal and civil documents into English, including birth certificates, marriage records, court documents, academic transcripts, and related filings
• Review and edit AI-generated draft translations for accuracy, completeness, and faithful transliteration of names, dates, and numbers
• Sign certification statements attesting that translations are true, complete, and accurate, in a form suitable for USCIS submission under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the final translated deliverable
• Apply correct transliteration conventions for proper nouns and names to match applicants' official spellings (e.g., for immigration filings)
• Meet turnaround commitments ranging from same-day rush to standard 48-hour delivery

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Ukrainian and English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or official documents
• Strong understanding of Ukrainian civil registry, court, and academic document conventions
• Familiarity with certified translation standards and certification statement requirements for US immigration or legal use
• Excellent attention to detail, especially with names, dates, and numeric data
• Ability to work within defined turnaround windows, including rush requests

Nice to have

• Prior experience with USCIS-related translation work or immigration document review
• Experience with translation of court records, asylum, or humanitarian filings
• Familiarity with transliteration standards for Ukrainian names into English (e.g., for I-130 or similar filings)
