Verdacert is a US-based certified translation service specializing in MENA-region and other foreign-language documents for USCIS filings, US courts, universities, and medical providers. Every translation is reviewed by a native-speaker linguist before release, and Azerbaijani is one of the additional languages supported alongside our core MENA-region offering. We're looking for a Legal Azerbaijani Translator to join our reviewer network, translating and certifying civil, legal, and academic documents from Azerbaijani into English.

What you'll do

• Translate legal and civil documents (birth certificates, marriage records, court documents, academic transcripts, and similar materials) from Azerbaijani into English
• Review and edit machine-generated draft translations for accuracy, completeness, and faithful transliteration of names, dates, and numbers
• Sign the certification statement attesting that each translation is a true, complete, and accurate rendering of the original, consistent with USCIS requirements under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)
• Preserve the original document's layout and formatting in the certified translation
• Apply correct transliteration conventions for proper nouns to match filing requirements (e.g., I-130 spelling conventions)
• Meet stated turnaround windows, which may include rush or same-day requests

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Azerbaijani and English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or official documents
• Strong working knowledge of Azerbaijani civil registry, court, and academic document conventions
• Meticulous attention to detail, particularly with names, dates, and numerical data
• Ability to work independently and meet defined deadlines
• Comfort reviewing and correcting AI-generated draft translations rather than always translating from scratch

Nice to have

• Prior experience providing certified translations for USCIS, US courts, or similar official bodies
• Familiarity with Azerbaijani civil and religious document distinctions
• Experience with legal or immigration-related translation work in a US context
