Verdacert is a US-based certified translation service specializing in MENA-region civil documents for immigration, court, university, and medical use, and also supports a broader set of languages including Vietnamese for its client base. We're looking for a Legal Vietnamese Translator to join our reviewer network, producing certified English translations of Vietnamese-language documents that meet USCIS and US court standards.

What you'll do

• Review and edit AI-generated first-draft translations of Vietnamese civil and legal documents into English, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Translate documents such as birth certificates, marriage records, court documents, academic transcripts, and other civil registry materials from Vietnamese to English
• Sign certification statements attesting that translations are true, complete, and accurate representations of the original documents
• Apply correct transliteration conventions for names, dates, and numbers, including matching spellings to filings such as I-130 where required
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the translated deliverable
• Meet turnaround commitments ranging from rush (as fast as 14 hours) to standard (48 hours) delivery windows

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Vietnamese and excellent command of written English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or immigration-related documents
• Familiarity with certified translation standards and certification statement requirements (e.g., 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, especially with names, dates, numbers, and official terminology
• Ability to work independently and meet defined turnaround deadlines
• Comfort reviewing AI-generated draft translations and editing them to a certified standard

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a certified or court-approved translator
• Experience with Vietnamese civil registry documents, academic transcripts, or court records specifically
• Familiarity with USCIS filing requirements or immigration document workflows
