Verdacert provides USCIS-certified translations for immigration filings, court proceedings, university applications, and medical documentation, with a focus on native-speaker review and fast turnaround. We're looking for a Legal Bosnian Translator to join our network of reviewers, translating and certifying civil, legal, and immigration-related documents from Bosnian into English (and where needed, English into Bosnian) to the standard required by USCIS and other official bodies.

What you'll do

• Translate legal and civil documents such as birth and marriage certificates, court records, affidavits, academic transcripts, and immigration filings from Bosnian to English
• Review and edit machine-generated first drafts for accuracy, completeness, and fidelity to the source document
• Apply correct transliteration of names and terms consistent with official identification documents (e.g., passports, prior filings)
• Sign certification statements attesting to translation accuracy in line with 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requirements
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the final certified deliverable
• Meet defined turnaround windows, including expedited and rush requests when assigned

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Bosnian and professional fluency in English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or immigration documents
• Strong understanding of Bosnian civil registry, court, and government document conventions
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially with names, dates, and numerical data
• Ability to work within firm deadlines, including expedited turnaround requests
• Comfort signing formal certification statements and standing behind translation accuracy

Nice to have

• Prior experience with USCIS-related translation work or immigration case documents
• Familiarity with regional dialects or document variants across Bosnia and Herzegovina
• Experience with certified translation for courts, universities, or medical providers
