Quality Manager

About the role

Verdacert is a USCIS-certified translation service specializing in the languages and document conventions of the MENA region, including Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, and Urdu, alongside 30+ other supported languages. We're looking for a Quality Manager to own the quality of every certified translation that goes out the door — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with the federal standards our customers depend on for immigration filings, court proceedings, university applications, and medical documentation.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes across the certified translation and review workflow
  • Monitor translation accuracy and certification compliance, including adherence to relevant regulatory standards such as 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)
  • Partner with native-speaker reviewers to identify recurring error patterns and build corrective actions and training
  • Establish and track quality metrics (error rates, rejection rates, turnaround-time impact) and report findings to leadership
  • Investigate and resolve quality escalations, including cases tied to the company's USCIS-acceptance guarantee
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, style guides, and review checklists for reviewers across multiple language teams

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or a related role, ideally within translation, localization, or a document-driven service business
  • Demonstrated experience building or improving QA processes and metrics in a fast-turnaround production environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate quality data into process improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with subject-matter reviewers or vendors
  • Comfort working with detailed compliance or regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing quality across multiple languages or locales

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with certified translation requirements for USCIS, courts, or academic institutions
  • Experience working with native-speaker linguists or a distributed reviewer network
  • Background in a regulated or compliance-driven service industry
