Full Stack Engineer
About the role
Verdacert is a certified translation service focused on the MENA region and immigration filings, delivering USCIS-accepted translations of documents like birth certificates, marriage records, and transcripts, often within 24-48 hours. We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the platform that powers document upload, translation workflow, reviewer assignment, and delivery.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain full stack features across our web application, from front-end UI to backend services and data models
- Develop and improve document ingestion and processing flows, including file uploads, format conversion, and quote generation
- Build and maintain APIs that support internal workflows such as reviewer assignment, certification generation, and order status tracking
- Collaborate with product and operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into shipped features
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Monitor, debug, and improve system performance, reliability, and security
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building full stack web applications (front end and back end)
- Strong proficiency with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework and a backend language/framework of your choice
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
- Comfort working with relational databases and writing efficient queries
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of features end to end
Nice to have
- Experience handling file uploads, document processing, or PDF generation
- Experience with encryption at rest and secure handling of sensitive personal data
- Familiarity with building products in a regulated or compliance-sensitive domain
