Frontend Engineer
About the role
Verdacert provides USCIS-certified translations for immigration, legal, academic, and medical documents, with a focus on Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Dari, Pashto, and other MENA-region languages, delivered within tight guaranteed turnaround windows. We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build and improve the web experience that customers use to upload documents, get instant quotes, track order status, and download certified translations.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain user-facing features across the document upload, quoting, checkout, and delivery flows
- Translate product and design requirements into responsive, accessible web interfaces
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs for pricing, order status, and file handling
- Improve performance, reliability, and load times across the customer-facing site
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code review
- Diagnose and fix bugs reported by customers or surfaced through monitoring
What we're looking for
- Solid experience building production web applications with modern JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with a component-based frontend framework (such as React, Vue, or similar)
- Comfort working with REST or GraphQL APIs and handling asynchronous data flows
- Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility basics
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate with designers and backend engineers
- Attention to detail, especially around handling sensitive documents and user data correctly
Nice to have
- Experience with file upload flows, document preview, or PDF rendering in the browser
- Familiarity with internationalization or right-to-left (RTL) language support in UI
- Experience working on products handling sensitive or regulated data
