Data Analyst
About the role
Verdacert is a certified-translation company serving immigration applicants, law firms, universities, and medical providers, specializing in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Pashto, Dari, and dozens of other languages, with a focus on the MENA region. We're looking for a Data Analyst to help us understand and improve how our translation and certification pipeline performs — from order intake and turnaround times to reviewer performance and customer outcomes.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking order volume, turnaround times, pricing tiers, and reviewer throughput
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks in the translation and certification pipeline
- Partner with operations and product teams to define and track key metrics (e.g., delivery-window adherence, refund/retranslation rates, customer satisfaction)
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support pricing, staffing, and language-coverage decisions
- Clean, validate, and maintain datasets pulled from internal systems to ensure reporting accuracy
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar analytics role
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Proficiency with a BI or visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Comfort with spreadsheet-based analysis and basic statistical concepts
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and meet deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis
- Familiarity with operational or process analytics in a service-delivery business
- Experience working with multilingual or international datasets
