Video Editor
About the role
Verdacert, a certified translation company serving immigration, legal, education, and medical clients, is looking for a Video Editor to help create video content that supports marketing and customer-facing communication. This role will work closely with the marketing team to produce polished, on-brand video assets that explain Verdacert's services and build trust with customers navigating high-stakes document deadlines.
What you'll do
- Edit raw footage into polished videos for marketing, social media, and product explainer content
- Add motion graphics, titles, subtitles, and captions to improve clarity and accessibility
- Color correct and color grade footage for a consistent, professional look across projects
- Sync and mix audio, including voiceover, music, and sound effects
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to translate briefs into finished video deliverables
- Organize and maintain a library of raw footage, project files, and finished assets
What we're looking for
- Proven experience editing video for marketing, social, or brand content
- Proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Working knowledge of motion graphics tools such as After Effects
- Strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and visual consistency
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- A portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant editing work
Nice to have
- Experience creating short-form content for social platforms
- Familiarity with captioning and localization workflows for multilingual audiences
- Basic motion design or animation skills
