Verdacert is a US-based certified translation company working in more than 100 languages, from Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Urdu, and Turkish to Spanish and Chinese, for immigration, legal, university, and medical use. We're looking for a Short-Form Video Intern to help explain certified translation in 30 to 60 seconds on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You'll learn to script, shoot, edit, and measure short video for a business with something genuinely useful to say.

About the internship

• Unpaid internship for a fixed term of 4 months, fully remote, open to applicants based in the United States
• Part-time and flexible, around 10 to 15 hours a week, scheduled around your classes or other commitments
• Built around your learning: a weekly one-on-one with a mentor on our team and feedback on everything you make
• We will complete the paperwork for academic credit wherever your school offers it
• You keep a portfolio of published work, and receive a reference letter when you complete the internship
• There is no expectation of a job at the end of the internship

What you will learn and do

• Script and edit short videos that answer common questions about translations for immigration, school, and work
• Turn our written guides into quick visual explainers, with feedback on every cut
• Follow trends and formats in the immigration and study-abroad space and pitch ideas
• Learn to read video analytics and report on what keeps people watching
• Help build a library of reusable templates, captions, and b-roll

Who we are looking for

• A current student or recent graduate in film, media, communications, marketing, or a related field
• Some experience editing video in CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
• A feel for pacing and for what makes a short video work
• A link to a few videos you've made, personal or otherwise

Nice to have

• Comfort on camera, though it's not required
• Motion graphics or subtitling experience
• Speaking a second language
