Verdacert provides USCIS-certified translations for immigration filings, court proceedings, university applications, and medical documentation, with a focus on native-speaker review and fast turnaround. We're looking for a Legal Mongolian Translator to join our network of vetted, native-speaker reviewers, translating legal and civil documents from Mongolian into English (and vice versa) for use in official filings.

What you'll do

• Translate legal and civil documents such as birth certificates, marriage records, court documents, academic transcripts, and immigration paperwork between Mongolian and English
• Review machine-generated draft translations for accuracy, completeness, and faithful transliteration of names and proper nouns
• Sign certification statements attesting that translations are true, complete, and accurate representations of the original documents
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the certified translation output
• Flag ambiguous source content, unclear handwriting, or inconsistencies to the project lead before certification
• Meet delivery deadlines ranging from standard to rush turnaround windows

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Mongolian and strong professional fluency in English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or official documents
• Familiarity with Mongolian civil registry documents, court records, or government document conventions
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially with names, dates, and numerical data
• Ability to work independently and meet tight turnaround deadlines
• Comfort signing formal certification statements attesting to translation accuracy

Nice to have

• Prior experience with USCIS, immigration, or asylum-related document translation
• Background in legal studies, paralegal work, or certified translation credentials
• Experience with Cyrillic script transliteration standards
