Verdacert provides USCIS-certified translations for MENA-region languages, with every translation reviewed by a native-speaker linguist before release. We're looking for a Legal Hindi Translator to join our reviewer network, producing accurate, certification-ready English translations of civil, legal, and academic documents for immigration filings, court proceedings, university admissions, and medical use.

What you'll do

• Translate Hindi-language documents into certified English, including birth certificates, marriage records, academic transcripts, court documents, and police clearances
• Review and edit machine-generated first drafts for accuracy, completeness, and faithfulness to the source document
• Apply standard transliteration conventions to proper nouns, names, and places where no direct English equivalent exists
• Sign the certification statement attesting to translation accuracy and completeness, per 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the translated output
• Meet turnaround commitments ranging from 14 to 48 hours depending on order priority

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Hindi and English
• Demonstrated experience translating legal, civil, or academic documents
• Strong working knowledge of Indian civil document conventions (registries, academic transcripts, court filings)
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially with names, dates, and numeric data
• Ability to work within firm deadlines across multiple concurrent documents
• Comfort working independently as part of a distributed reviewer network

Nice to have

• Prior experience with USCIS certified translation requirements
• Familiarity with Punjabi or Urdu for cross-referencing related documents
• Background in legal, paralegal, or court interpreting work
