We're hiring a Bookkeeper to keep our day-to-day financial records accurate and up to date as order volume grows.
What you'll do
- Record daily transactions including customer payments, refunds, and vendor bills across our accounting system
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment processor accounts on a regular schedule
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Track and categorize expenses, and help prepare financial reports for management
- Support preparation of documentation needed for tax filings and outside accountants
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and spreadsheets
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data
- Ability to manage confidential financial information responsibly
- Strong organizational skills and comfort meeting recurring deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience working with a small or growing services business
- Familiarity with reconciling payments from online payment processors
- Associate's degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field
